So.....In case you missed it, Heres a Recap. Last Saturday - TopicsExpress

So.....In case you missed it, Heres a Recap. Last Saturday (August 16, 2014) I had the privilege of saying I DO again to my beloved Anthony Austin. Just a few small details you may not have known or noticed. We were married on August 16, 1994 in Las Vegas, Nevada and I have no pictures from the previous event. So thank you to Eric Stevenson Demetrius Saunders and Amy Morris Jordan for making sure I had an over abundance of pictures this time around. I did not have a wedding gown this first time either. I would like to give a shout out to Bridals & More for giving me the best dress buying experience that I never had. The first gown I tried on...was The Gown. The candy table...was something I had seen at a Birthday Party and in the Bridal Magazines...so I knew that was something I wanted to do. The Chalk Boards were are ode to the fact that we are Educators. (Tony @ High School Level. Annette @ Elementary School Level). The candies were some of our favorites. Tony loves York Peppermint Patties & Hot Tamales. Annette loves Now or Laters. The sayings next to each candy were thought of by me as I sat in my girl Yolanda Bivens chair getting my wig split. She did come up with the sign by the Now or Laters..so I gotta give her a shout out. Each Table was named for a beach that we have been to throughout these twenty years to include Sunset Beach, Virginia Beach, Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, Hammammet Beach on the Mediterranean Sea in Tunisia Africa, Lloret De Mar Beach-near Barcelona Spain, Orient Bay Beach-St Maarten. Can you tell? We love the Beach. We received a congratulations postcard in the mail from Barack Obama and Michelle Obama. Wink Wink to Monique Wakefield. There were also several firsts that took place. This one the first time in twenty years that all our parents were in one place at the same time. It was also the first time I had ever danced with my dad and the first time Tony had ever danced with his mom. It was the first time I had publicly given homage to the children (Adam Micah & Autumn Michelle) that I lost via miscarriage in 2007 with a poem written by yours truly accompanied by a butterfly release. The first time we got married, I cried like a baby during the whole ceremony. This time, Tony shed a couple of tears. It was also the first time Courtney Gueye...my baby sissy and I dressed alike without even trying. I love her to pieces. I had the best time painting with my friends and family. I could go on and on. As you can see, I have not come down from last weekend. Thanks to all who have supported us - past and present. My testimony is and will continue to be....#ThankfulToGodBeTheGlory. #6WORDS
