So Ive been following this series (from Tony Evans) since the first week of Lent and OH MY what a great study it has been. I thought Id share this one today b/c its message was so poweful for me. Gods Name: ELOHEI MAUZZI Verse: God is my strong fortress (Elohei Mauzzi); And He sets the blameless in His way. 2 Samuel 22:33 Meaning: God of My Strength. Prayer: Adoration Elohei Ma’uzzi you are my strong fortress. You are the God of my strength. In you I find all that I need. In you is power, might and force. I praise you for your mighty hand. I lift up your name to give you honor because you are the strongest of all in existence. Your creation testifies to your power. The mountains rise to proclaim your strong arm. The ocean’s depth reveals your force. The moon keeps its place because of your great strength. The sun flames as a result of your own creative prowess. You are to be held in the highest of esteem and I praise you Elohei Ma’uzzi. #toGodbetheglory #mystrongfortress So this morning a co-worker (pretty new to our department - who sits just a few feet away from me) stopped at my desk this morning and and (not randomly in my opionion b/c she doesnt know my prayer journey) asked me about my prayer routine. When I pray, do I pray for specific things and how do I feel about the time it takes to see those things come to pass in my life. I told her about this part of my prayer journey - that Ive recently included more time in my day for prayer both in supplication and intercessorily - that I dont worry - that I dont expect instant gratification - that things happen according to HIS timeline. We talked for about 10 minutes. When she left my desk and returned to hers, I looked up Phil 4:6-7 and shared several other passages of related scripture with her via email so she could go back and reference them and included that I would keep her lifted in my prayers for God to meet her at her needs. She came back by my desk and thanked me. I felt the Spirit stirring things up. I know that its my different/better walk with God that she saw on today to even broach the subject with me.
