So Ive seen several posts about this coke commercial from last night and Ive seen a lot of intolerance from both sides of the isle. Now at first it bothered me because on the one hand i felt it was disrespectful but as i sat there and really thought about wut America is i personally decided it doesnt really matter. America isnt a song or a flag or even the dirt that we walk on but rather a belief, a state of mind. America is freedom. Freedom to think and feel wutever u want and not be punished or persecuted for it. Freedom to pursue a life that no other country can or would offer. And freedom to sing a song in any language that promotes the American Spirit. Liberal or Conservative we all share qualities of each but still lean stronger to one side or the other. One day i think people will start to understand that u cant have one without the other and too much of one or the other can and will be detrimental to our country. Just a thought.
