So Johnny JameSon and Dwight Cummings the day job has been interfering with storytelling so this is where the day job and storytelling intersect. This is also its a small world and a Stan Kreiger thread all in one. I was at a meeting tonight with a vendor who is going to do a demo for us tomorrow. We start in with all the boring introductory pleasantries including the business card trading ritual. The Engineer is from Colo Springs so I mention that is the city of my birth. He then asks if I grew up there to which I replied no I really grew up in a small town in SE Colorado. He said where and I said Springfield. Turns out his mother was an Upchurch as in Upchurch Hardware in Pritchett. His dad is from Swink which led to the conversation about Lane Goodens 69 point game against Swink. He said he has heard the story from both sides of the family, different versions of course. We talked about how everyone is related, how people are connected and how we are probably related because of the sophisticated countywide inbreeding program. We then start in with a devious plan for tomorrows presentation. Do you remember me mentioning how Todd Cotton and I have forced everyone that works for me to listen to multiple Stan Krieger stories over the years to the point that my staff suggested I dress up as that one guy (Stan) for halloween? Well in the morning at about 8:30 in their introductory slide they are going to insert a slide that mentions that Palo Alto Networks is really based in Pritchett Colorado....home of Stan Krieger I do believe this story confirms that Pritchett is the center of the universe
