So, Madigan wants more money for the schools? Wants to raise your taxes for it. Ever notice when they want to fleece us of even more money its always tagged as being for humanitarian reasons? Or for our good? The kids! How can you say no to money for the kids? Or for the infrastructure? Thats always another good one. Seems like I remember back a few years when Illinois politicians wanted the State Lottery that they said that something like 80% of the profits would be going for the kids! For the schools! Uh...I dont think the lotterys losing money, so where are all those millions in profits going? Where has it all gone for the last decade or more? What about all the other tax hikes of the past we were told was for the schools, for the kids? Oh the poor kids of Chicagoland! What a tragedy! There is just never enough money to get these kids educated! One has to wonder, considering the failure of Chicago public schools, just how many hundreds of millions its gonna take to turn out kids like they did back in the fifties? Before all the hundreds of millions were poured down this black hole of Chicago public schools? If you live in, or around Chicago, and you continue to vote for these same politicians, year after year after year, and you wonder whats gone wrong? Look in the mirror.
