So... Small bit of a rant here. Its very fashionable to knock streaming services. But like many things its a bit confusing at the start. For me the main thing is that ALL streaming services are at least trying to come up with a model whereby the artist is paid, maybe not much but that seems to be improving. It certainly beats the hell out of the idea that you should just be glad for the exposure (hello youtube!). I find it amazing that artists will give out about Spotify, Deezer, etc while at the same time theyre busy sharing away using Soundcloud, Youtube etc who wont give them a cent for the plays. Why not reenforce the good behaviour, get behind services that are acknowledging that the concept of paying the Artist at least exists. If it becomes the norm to stream rather than just plain steal by ripping stuff from videos, file sharing etc THEN the rates can at least be negotiated and so on. Quality wise some people are trying to get it right. This service is one. Anyhow...
