So Tuck, while undergoing his stem cell transplant and 6 week - TopicsExpress

So Tuck, while undergoing his stem cell transplant and 6 week recovery At Boston Childrens Hospital received a gift from the hospital. It was supposed to be to decorate his room with while he was there and be able to bring the stuff home to use. It is a very nice program especially for the younger kids. For the teens they give the option of a gift card to a big named store so they can get something they are able to go and purchase themselves. Again awesome. Its $400. Thats not chump change. After thinking it over, Tucker decided on a GameStop https://facebook/GameStop gift card as he always buys his gaming stuff there. You may have guessed he wanted to purchase one of the next gen gaming consoles. The Playstation 4 to put a name on it. Why not? All that the kid has been through he deserves it. With the crazy medical bills going up up up we werent going to be able to get him one. So, he was happy about that, gave him something cool, teen related to focus on and talk about think about games, for it, ect. Release day couldnt come soon enough now! And heres the rub: By the time we returned home from his transplant and recovery it was to late to preorder the Playstation 4 at from GameStop. Any GameStop. Physical store or online. Just a no. Even if somebody canceled a preorder he couldnt get in on it. And theyre not saying when therell be more in stock. He calls GameStop weekly now just incase. Hes a tough kid, handling it well. Like he handled the first onset of lymphoma and the treatment for that. Like he handled the return of the desease that eventually led up to him requiring a stem cell transplant because that was the best option for him. We thought the chemo in the beginning of all this was almost more than Tucker could take. It was rough, very rough. It didnt hold a candle to the tortures of the high dose chemotherapy he underwent 10 months later when the disease returned. 10 months. Almost got to feeling normal again. Cancer is just a cruel, monster of a disease. Then came the stem cell transplant and recovery from that procedure. I cant even go into that. Look it up if you dont trust me. Look it up realize the soul-tearing it does to your child and the whole family and friends. Then multiply it by 10? 20? I know it saved his life. It also did irreparable damage to his heart, lungs, liver and kidneys. It made him more susceptible to other forms of cancer and shortened his lifespan by x amount. There have been plenty of people that didnt even know Tucker who have been very kind to him throughout. His family and friends were always there for him (except for those 6 months when he was under quarantine at home because he was busy building back his immune system). Sorry, where was I? Ah, yeah, upset about GameStop and the Playstation 4. It might seem like a small or trivial thing to some people however, to a teenager it isnt. Okay, there, Ive vented for the day. Really, GameStop? Really?
