So, Yesterday little Travis (the mini me Lawson) said Dad I want to go on an adventure and go and explore something. I said no worries son lets go exploring then I thought to myself, Ill fix you up boy!!!! After I had the thought of 2 Lawson boys exploring with myself as the expedition leader and at the same time the visualisation of the National Lampoons movies, I decided to give it a go and test out their stamina!!!!! I decided to take them to Mount Shank Volcano. My plan was cunning because I intended that Hiram who is 3 and a half and Travis who only turned 5 a couple of weeks ago would not even make it to the top and I would be home in time to watch the football. Well all I can say is I made the big mistake of under estimating 2 little boys!!! Not only did they power on to the top, where they made friends with random tourists, but then they decided they wanted to proceed down to the middle of the crater!!! Although they took 3 hours with a vegemite sandwich included, I cant believe they did it!!! The pictures speak for themselves. Now even though it is a day later I have a sore knee, sore legs, sore feet and even a sore back to the point I thought the boys were going to have to carry their old man back down to the car!!!! They even werent deterred by the 5 foot black snake we come across (which mind you they thought was great) not me I hate bloody snakes!!!! They had an absolute ball and I learnt a valuable lesson, never under estimate the energy of 2 little boys, they will always wear you out before they even contemplate getting the slightest bit tired!!!! And yes I missed the bloody football which happened to be a top game. I hope you all enjoy the photos!!!!!!!
