So a couple of months ago....I invited all of my children, grandchildren and some friends for a big Thanksgiving Day party. My friends, and sister-in-laws family are attending. However, I guess, I insulted my kids somehow...particularly my daughter-in-law. (mind you I thought being invited to Thanksgiving dinner was a nice thing). None of my children or grandchildren will be at my house for dinner this year :-( Perhaps not such a big deal some would say, but, I moved to Tennessee to be closer to my kids and grandkids. To top it all off, my daughter-in -law wont let me visit with my grandkids....she also wont let them ride in the car with me....(seems a bit odd since I drove a school bus for over 10 years) My husband left a 65,000$ a year job in Phoenix, to move me here to Tennessee, so I could be near ALL of my grandkids and now I dont get to see them, unless she is supervising me......the only saving grace is that my daughter is still letting me see the oldest two grandkids, (they visited here this weekend). So my youngest son still isnt speaking to me (didnt bother to inform me his college graduation was this fall not next spring, and I missed it), my oldest son is avoiding the subject, because of his controlling wife and my daughter WAS mostly remaining silent. Im tired of remaining silent and suffering quietly, just to be polite. If this crap from my children doesnt stop SOON, I will probably start the planning to move back to Michigan, where my family actually likes me and wants me around! Gosh my children, you would finally be rid of my annoying presence, sweet! Wow, isnt this a wonderful way to start the holiday season?
