So... a little Playoff scenario clarification for my fellow cheeseheads going into this weekend... The Packers win both their remaining games, theyre guaranteed at least the 2nd seed and a first round bye. Thats reasonable. The ONLY way the Packers get the 1st seed and home field throughout the playoffs is if Seattle wins at Arizona and then Seattle loses at home against St. Louis. This is a sad and unlikely best case scenario. Anything can happen, though.. so heres to that! Personally, Im hoping Arizona and Green Bay win both remaining games (Arizona plays Seattle and at San Francisco), then, should the Packers get to the NFC Championship and have to play on the road, its in Arizona and not Seattle. Lastly, if the Packers lose to the Lions - its sadly, very likely the Packers dont make the playoffs at all, given that Dallas and Philly would both likely have better records. This would mean that Packers would be one of the best teams ever to not make the Playoffs, and its not that unreasonable. So. Packers fans.. youre now Bears, Redskins, and Giants fans. And go Rams in week 17.
