So ... as I head towards a shift of focus in a little less than two months, I have been in pursuit of a tool to help me advance to the next level of music ... a new Martin guitar ... you know,to fill some spare time Been researching and testing quite a few ... learning more as I go. The trick, though, is how to convince my Mrs, Susan, that this would be a good thing ... you know ... do I really need it? (no) In this pursuit, I slowly compiled my case, built my arguments, narrowed my options (there are many), understanding the nuances (and costs) of each ... all in preparation of that discussion. This morning, Sue finally began to appear at least a little receptive to the idea, and suggested maybe we should visit the store I mentioned, so she could get an idea of what was so special. ... and we did Upon arriving, though, I discovered that the one guitar I had ranked at the top of my list was gone ... it had been sold ... a bit disappointed, I started revisiting the other boxes (guitars) ... the manager I had talked to at my previous visit came in, all apologetic ... then suggested I might take a look at a guitar out front, since my #1 had been sold ... to Sue ... ... who had the entire store in on the ruse! Happy Anniversary Kiddo! ILY!
