So as everyone sees I went and had lunch with 4 of my grand babies to day. This is long and emotional but felt the need to share. I had a beautiful time and at the end of lunch Rebecca and Alexis went back to their classes. I sat with Jacob and Kylee waiting for their classes to be done eating. Two lil girls came and asked if they could sit with us, I said, yes of course. They told me they were in 3rd grade. I introduced Jacob and Kylee. One of the girls then asks what is wrong with her legs? Without a second thought I said, she has cancer and is on chemo, and the chemo has made her legs be like this. The little girl then looked right at me and said shes gonna die. I was in shock Kylee looked at me and I said no no shes not going to die, shes a fighter, shes well look at her. The lil girl said my Grandpa had cancer, he died. I said how sorry I was and changed the subject a lil later they got up and walked away. Then nonchalantly Kylee looks at me and says Nene Im not going to die! I took her face in my hands without shedding a tear and told her NO you are not going to die. The lil girl was completely innocent and just said what she thought but I was choked up. Kylee went back to class and didnt give it a second thought Nene on the other hand drove around and cried her eyes out. Im so grateful for today it really opened my eyes to what Kylee and her siblings prob deal with daily and just shrug it off. I have the most amazing Grandbabies and Im very proud to be there Nene!! #grateful
