So as of late I havent been posting reviews of movies that I have seen. I want to get back to doing this, so in this post I will be reviewing Guardians of the Galaxy. (GotG). Which I saw when it came out. Then on my next post I will talk about Lets be cops, which I saw tonight. Now as a self proclaimed comic book nerd I must admit that I knew next to nothing about Guardians before seeing the movie. In fact, most people dont know about GotG. Marvel took a big risk with making this movie and you know what they say, the bigger the risk the higher the reward. And it worked, this movie is fun to watch. In a time where superhero movie are dark and gritty GotG isnt afraid of being funny and light. Now it is still a superhero movie, but with more of the comic relief parts that marvel is becoming known for. The movie also fills you in on most of what you need to know with out having to know the characters before hand or seeing any of the other movies. Of corse you would know more and get a better idea of the big picture, but its not necessary. Youll be too wrapped in the fun, and one of the best sound tracks in a movie that I have heard in a long time. I cant wait to buy this movie. And if it helps its extremely rare for me to see a movie more than once in theaters, but this would be one of those rare movies.
