So before I change my password for the next few weeks I thought Id share this piece of encouragement I read from my devotional today from Harvest (Greg Laurie) Greg was talking about how he lost his little boy on the elevator & from that point his son always stuck close to Him b/c of the scary experience. He used that to make this abridgment to Gods Fatherly love for his children. This stuck out to me: As Christians we should want to stay as close to our Heavenly Father as possible. The Devil is a powerful adversary, and we are no match for him in our own strength. We dont want to venture out in this life in our own abilities and suffer spiritual defeat. I have a healthy respect for the Devils ability. For that reason, I want to stay as close to The Lord as possible. I want to be strong in Him. If there was ever a time to be walking closely with The Lord, it is now. This is not the time to be playing games with God. This is not the time to wander away. God is not angry or careless with us. Hes chasing after us in endless love & pursuit but the things of this world & our brokenness of being sinners is what keeps us from tasting freedom & His true Daddy love & protection. So lay down your pursuits of this life & today, seek his face open His Word & discover life abundant in Jesus Christ.
