So disappointed in this decision!!! Contrary to what some council member believe, Eastern Star and Scottish Rite DO include women. Many people are misinformed on Freemasonary. Also, our local Masonic Lodge does so much for the community ( Pavilions, scholarships, doing for local widows at Christmas, plus much more!) Its a shame! My dad was so looking forward to once again attending his Masons meetings bc the Armory is handicap accessible. I personally have never seen a town without a Masonic Lodge. Thousands in our community will be at a loss for many years to come of a wonderfully renovated Armory due to the decision of four council members.
