So, discussions about Black Friday being linked to slaves! Maybe we should look it up? Its the teacher in me; I cant help it sometimes. This is false --> male bovine excrement ! We should all research things for ourselves; even if it sounds like it may be a piece of history. Sometimes people make posters and put lies on them to post on the internet just to watch us take it in like its true. Black Friday is a business term. Back when companies did business by writing everything down with pen and ink inside ledger books, they would use black ink when they were making a profit and red ink when they were not making money (red like the business is bleeding money ). So when they began to make money again, they called it out of the red and in the black. Out of the ENTIRE year, there is only one day that companies make the most money / profits / in the black / not in the red. And that day is the day after Thanksgiving when people everywhere Christmas shop. Just imagine all the horses and buggies crowding the streets and dirt roads to get to the shops. That poster is a myth / joke / lie; whichever one you want to call it. Sorry, I couldnt let this one go
