So do we all remember when I was all like I owe you one coming out story way back when? Well I delayed with it because Ive been trying to get into therapy to get a formal diagnosis for gender dysphoria, and we were all set to start tomorrow, but insurance problems arose and now Im back to square one. Its pretty crushing and Im not thrilled, and frankly Im sick and tired of skulking around in the shadows about my identity, like I already spent 2 years in the closet when I was a teenager, and Im done with that. Big sappy reveal time: I am a trans woman. This means that I was born with a male body, and up until about half a year ago identified as a cisgendered male. This is no longer the case. Im going into therapy to get a referral and help me through this process, and I will be moving towards hormone replacement therapy, and then after awhile a few grizzly surgery things, but once that is all said and done, things will be pretty fantastic. As it stands now, physically, I look pretty much the same as usual. Enjoy it while it lasts, because this gal is boarding the train to Ladytown U.S.A. Other parts to this ordeal is that Im going to be changing my name to Viola Aladren. There are many colorful reasons for this, and Ill share should anyone be curious later. Obviously this whole thing is kind of a huge change. I understand if you feel weird about this, Ive been feeling weird about it too, for awhile now. I love answering questions anyone may have, and know that this doesnt mean Im opening the floor for folks to challenge me on my identity, so if youve already written up a research essay on why Im not a woman, hang it on your fridge and give yourself a gold star, champ. All in all, dont feel bad if adjusting takes time. Were going through this together, so please dont stress out if you accidentally misgender me for a little while. Things will get better, and I believe in you, in us, and in America. Thank you, and good night.
