So every Monday I send out “Better Mondays”. It’s a message of a lesson I’ve learned or am learning that I send to people who encourage & inspire me, & the individuals whove left an indelible impact on my life. This trend started from my husbands best friend Aaron who would send them to me! I’m a firm believer in if you build other people up, you dont have time to worry about the things in your life that burden & consume your time. My common theme is to invite someone new every week. I dont post these on social media because I want it to be personal & intimate but Im so moved by the legacy of Stuart Scott that I decided to share this weeks. If you know someone who would like to be included inbox me. Hope you all had a blessed Monday! Monday January 5th, 2015 As we all learned yesterday, ESPN reporter & anchor Stuart Scott passed away after battling cancer for seven years. This past July Scott was honored at the ESPY awards with the Jimmy V award. When he address the audience he said When you die, it does not mean that you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live, why you live, and in the manner in which you live.” Stuart knew his fate but he CHOSE to live life to the fullest & with purpose EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! We all have handicaps & personal problems as individuals & within our families. For some of us theyre physical & for others of us they can be mental or emotional. However, remember YOU still get to CHOOSE how YOU live, why YOU live & the manner in which YOU live life! Life at times is hard & sucks but remember there is someone out there who is struggling a little bit harder, or a little bit sicker! CHOOSE to kick lifes ass regardless of your circumstances this week! CHOOSE to become better for yourself FIRST so YOU can become better for the ones you love! SEIZE THE DAY! Lets GrOW! (Lets GO) I press on to reach the end of the race & receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us. Philippians 3:14 Better Mondays...this BMs is inspired by my good buddy Avery! Avery is 7 & is 100 days post op of a bone marrow transplant. Hes battling Leukemia for the THIRD time!
