So, everyone is making such a big deal about the stores being open and people having to work the holiday. I get it, I really do. But...honestly, when you choose to work in retail you have to understand that this is the norm. This is not awesome, I agree, but you took this job knowing that it might be an expectation. I sure dont see people making a fuss over all the other people who are expected to work the holidays 24/7. We all do what we do knowing that there is an expectaion. For all of you who feel that no one should have to be away from their family on a holiday, Stop wasting your time with the negativity. Instead, spend it uplifting the people who do work. The ones who took a job that might not be convenient but chose to work. After all, no one says its unfair that Dr.s and nurses and first reponders and snow plowers and police officers (you get the idea) shouldnt have to work, lets just close the hospital for the day? Just my little rant......
