So far Nigeria and Senegal have been proclaimed ebola-free African nations by the World Health Organization. Early education of health care workers and treatment stopped it. More nations will be added as they are found to be completely ebola-free. Non-health care worker Americans who had contact with ebola patients (family and friends) here were released today, ebola-free, from hospitals where they had been quarantined. They had not contracted the disease, even though some actually had contact with bodily fluids from the patients. That means that there have been 3 ebola patients in the US, one of whom was mishandled in a Dallas Texas hospital and released when he should not have been. Early education and treatment solve this problem, not hysteria and false claims (including a lie told by George Will on TV yesterday, whose ebola spreads like the flu information was declared completely false by the source he cited - the University of Minnesota. It is NOT airborne-spread; it is only through direct contact with bodily fluids that the disease is spread, and then not 100% of the time).
