So finally get a hold of some one at Blue shield to check our pending heath insurance application ( you know, for the past month ) Ours is an independent (see NOT the shitty exchange ) application. Get the jerk around run around for 20 minutes until I finally reach a human that gives me the rehearsed speech about how all covered California applications are in pending/ too many applicants/ companies not filing and imputing information properly on and on. I interrupt wait, Im and independent applicant, not the exchange. Oh thats different. 15 minutes later everything is taken care of, explained to me, processed and enrolled. Also get a full apology for our past hassle and a direct number to call if issues arise again. Yeah, tell me again how the exchange is going to to promise great and fair healthcare for all? ( aside from good luck finding decent doctors ) F- that. BTW our insurance monthly rate is not much higher than the family exchange rates if you dont qualify for a discount through the exchange.
