So for my moms birthday she asked me get some items to donate to some local families in need, rather than get her gifts that she doesnt need. So around 6:30 after dinner, Jade and I went on the hunt for good deals for little girls clothes. Firstly, I want to say a big BITE ME you Misogynistic dicks to JCPenney. While the boys section had clothes as low as $1.97, the little girls cheapest were $5. FOR.THE.SAME.THING. Same brands, same original prices, just girly colors vs boy colors. It has been so long since I have been able to shop for a little girl, I was excited. They ruined my happy. So, obviously I left and went elsewhere since the $5 shirts were so ugly Jade and I were both trying not to vomit. Um, mint colored stripes along the body and hot pink stripes on the sleeves? EW. I have compassion for the colorblind and all, but not when they design and sell clothes they expect people to purchase and wear. Anyway, we drove up the road to a locally owned shop called Rileys. We love you, Rileys, oh yes we do. We love you Rileys, and well be true. (Anyone else watch Bye Bye Birdie as a young girl?) Ahem. So we got.... wait for it... 16 cute girly shirts for $41! Yes I did. Some local little girls are going to look adorable and have some nice clothes to start school with. Im happy. They are going to be handing out the clothes and school supplies at a fundraiser thing this weekend while were gone. Im sad Ill miss their happy faces. They are looking for a hairdresser still to do boys back to school haircuts if anyone is interested, or knows of any hair dressers in the area that might be interested. Could be a great way to meet some new people for potential future return business, and help some people in need in the community! Were still looking for some used little girls clothes too, Ill update the sizes from my previous post in case anyone wants to donate before Sunday.
