So glad that yesterday is now in the past. It was a difficult day for my step-children, Charlene Smith Knox Pugh and Hank Smith, as they buried their mother. Charlie and I left @ 6:30 Sunday morning, drove to northern Alabama for the visitation and funeral, then had dinner with the kids, their families, and a few friends, then drove home. It was an extremely tiring trip, but worth it so that we could be with them. There wasnt much we could do, but we wanted them to know that we are and will be there for them (and Im sure they already knew that about their Dad). Charlie made the trip fairly well. He is very tired and sore, but got to sleep a lot both going down and coming back, and Im sure that helped the trip go faster for him. Id say hell sleep well tonight as well. We love you Char and Hank.
