So here is my Christmas Story for those are are too full and feel uncomfortable to sleep trolling Facebook. Mom and Dad were never rich, but we as kids always had a roof over our head and a hot meal. Holidays were always special becuase it was about family and friends. Ive called hundreds of people over the years aunts and uncles, even though they really were not. Yesterday we buried another one of those precious gems from a bygone era may she rest in piece. I will never forget those memories of her. I always loved Christmas and the tree was always crowded with gifts for me, John and Debbie. Dad would always buy me something related to the fire department because he was a fireman. Five years ago when Mom died (Dad having five years before) I was going through boxes of stuff and came across some pictures, there are very few of me because of the expense back then. I love this one of me holding this ginormous coloring book of Blazer the Fire Dog. I became obcessed trying to find this via the collector market. I Googled, I Amazoned and I ebayed for years and no luck. At least once a week I would stalk ebay for a copy of that coloring book. This was the third year we did Phenomonlogy at Gettysburg, a paranormal conference. When I walked through the doors, I saw this coloring book propped up against one of the vendors tables. I literally knocked over three people and ran to that coloring book and grabbed it. I asked the dealer if she was selling it and she said $20. I almost knocked myself out trying to get it out of my pocket. After five years of searching I had finally recaptured a small, yet treasured part of my youth. Whether you believe in religon or not, or the paranormal or not, this is one hell of a story to say this was not a sign from some place - a paranormal convention in Gettysburg having a fireman coloring book...
