So here is the first update from our first test day of the season, - TopicsExpress

So here is the first update from our first test day of the season, and I have to start by saying that I am 100% disappointed in myself... Everything felt great... Up until I spun off the track... Twice... In the fist session... and ripped my front splitter off. Ha First one was on the second lap coming out of 15... (Completely forgetting how long car tires take to get hot!) Second one that sealed the deal was on maybe my 7th lap or so after being flagged in... My tires were finally starting to heat up and I stepped the right rear into the dirt going into 6 and it basically Scandinavian flicked me into 6 and off the track... It was a super light off road excursion but just enough to rip off the front splitter... All In the first practice! Im not really to bummed about the car, Im more upset with myself and the ROOKIE mistakes and decisions I made that led up to that. - old hard cold tires - cold green track - cold day in general - new brakes that were far from scrubbed in - whole new suspension setup (changed the car completely) - & worst of all my damm PRIDE when a guy in a Ferrari wanted to play a little to soon with my cold setup... What frustrates me even more tho is I know I had nothing to prove to anyone.. It just sucks I didnt get to push it long enough to build more confidence in myself with that car to see how fast I could really go! Shoulda pulled in, once overd everything and waited till next session, but you live and learn right...? Other then that I learned a lot mentally, so just gonna pick up where we left off and hit it even harder with a whole new strategy for our next track day on the 10th.. Thank you for everyones continual support and encouragement! Check out the video from my 1st & only practice on Friday and learn from my Rookie mistakes! WARM YOUR TIRES UP! Keep Em Spinnin & God Bless ✌️ Mario Bonfantes 1st Test of 2014
