So here is the latest on plans for our 30th reunion - The timing is AWFUL! Every place I have called (restaurant) for dinner on Saturday night has said that since it is peak season, the only way they could accomodate our group (presumably about 100 people) is to close their establishment down - and that is very pricey. So, I shifted to banquet facilities. We can do all sorts of things there, heavy hors doeuvres, drinks and mingle or sit down dinner and drinks (basic) for about $50 per person. We are talking cash bar. We can add a DJ but it is peak season for weddings so the cost of a DJ is almost as expensive as dinner (not really but close). Here is the rub - we need hard counts on how many people. Also, there are significant deposits needed to secure location and services ($1000). Here is what I need: I need email addresses for everyone you know that is Class of 84. I will send out an email announcing the date, etc. and set a deadline for response on who is planning to come (July 12th). With that number, I can then get a better idea on cost. After that, the call will go out for money go be sent in (deadline). If money comes in we will move forward. If not, we will cancel and set a meeting place for people to just show up. I have also planned for a significant amount of donated gifts from area businesses that you will be able to purchase raffle tickets at the door. If your ticket is pulled, then you win the prize. All proceeds will go to the PAHS student activities fund from the Class of 84. Deadline for emails to me ios April 15th. Inbox me please. Do not post them as comments on this thread.
