So here is the thing so that Europeans can understand it better. Mexhicans did fight against Numunus (Comanches), Kiowas, Dine (Navajo), Apaches, Kikapoos, etc. Mexicans meztizoz where following orders from Europeans (criollos) who still owned most of the land and haciendas in Mexhico. Other fighting was for revenge. Revenge is a normal thing fight for territory was a normal thing amongs the natives, the difference is the natives including meztizo Mexhicans did not fight to exterminate their foes, in fact many had rules of war (Such as the Aztek) that once the other warriors surrender or stopped fighting they would not pursue them and anhilate them. Those were unwritten rules of native warfare. Were natives a little extreme as they killed their enemy? Yes they were, war is war and it is horrible and some actions are bad. But hello taking a life is taking a life no matter in wich fashion it is done. Now a days, since the threat against natives is foreign (Europeans, etc) it is time for all natives to unite and fight, whether it is in the European systems (Political, Juridical) or it is actual warfare. WE must stand together and fight for our rights as in the times of the past when enemies came together to fight their common enemies (example the Kiowa, Comanche, Apache peace treaty and aliance). ~Ueytlajtoani Kolotl~
