So here were go, last week Lucas was rained out so Martin set up another date which was yesterday for some predator hunting. Finally get a good day, Lucas comes over to my place to dial in his long guns, 308 had some issues, so we got the 243 dialed in, 1 inch high at 100, just about perfect for 200-300 yard shot. Martin called me and asked about lunch, bacon wrapped Axis or go out and eat. Kind of a silly question. so we meet up at Martins casa and have lunch. I was along for the ride for pictures and video of the trip for their memories. So we get to a ranch, beautiful place and first off see a baby goat just finished being born, which was cool. After a few sits, Martin gets a call or makes a call not sure but we get an invite to drive around a HF ranch, so I commence to talking pictures of all the critters, it was great seeing all the different exotics. Then we get to meet the ranch manager, start talking to him and he just got done skinning out 2 Black buck doe and about how he does not like them. We tell him thank you for allow us on the property and he tells Martin,Hey if he wants to shoot a black buck doe, have at it, better yet have him shoot one with antlers and a doe. We again show our appreciation to the ranch manager and Martin says it is going to be a Texas style Ranch hunt. We understood that. Let me tell you hunting a HF ranch is not as easy as it seems, especially chasing these BB for sure. Any how there were black buck shot at, missed, they give you a 3 count, if you dont get on target and have rounds down range, they are gone in a hurry, none killed but man it was a great time for Lucas, Martin and myself. I can tell you that this was one heck of a fun hunt with great folks.
