So heres a quick rundown of how my 3rd FLW Tour event on Sam Rayburn went: First off Id like to thank my sponsors for supporting me and taking care of me as well as you have. Secondly I had a bad tournament. Period. The first day I just didnt get the bites. I had 2 areas I felt I could win the tournament in and the conditions just destroyed them. I probably made some bad decisions trying to recover but thats for later to think about. I normally dont solely fish to win, but this week I felt like I did. I knew what I had to do to catch a big bag and stuck with it and it kicked my butt. Thirdly Id like to thank my family, especially my wife Valerie Lynn Upshaw and my brother Ryan Upshaw for making the long drives to come see me weigh in. Last off I want to be frank, I can not wait for Beaver Lake week after next for the 4th stop on Tour. I love Beaver Lake and Im ready for some redemption after this bad finish. #PEAKFishingTeam
