....So heres the thing ..... Royal British Legion single, No Mans - TopicsExpress

....So heres the thing ..... Royal British Legion single, No Mans Land by Joss Stone and the legendary guitarist Jeff Beck, recorded as the Official Poppy Single in this Centenary Year of The Great War, has been refused to be on the Playlist of either Radio 1 or Radio 2 !!! Now, it just so happens, the Children In Need single, God Only Knows would be in direct competition for the number one slot and as the BBC is the corporation that came up with the idea of Children In Need, it strikes me this is their typical knee-jerk reaction. A couple of weeks ago I told of the huge pot of funds Chief Executives are holding in an account for Children in Need ...... £87.7 Million roughly ......yet the fact there is another single out, supporting the Wives and Children of our fallen and terribly injured soldiers through the work done by The Royal British Legion, sends the BBC into a panic attack which sees them effectively Ban the Poppy Single from their bloody airwaves !!! Some people insist the Charts arent Rigged ..... I say My Arse!! I have no problem with anyone supporting the Children In Need appeal by buying their single if they wish to ......but I know where MY loyalty will lie over this particular issue and itll be with the Legion no contest !!! I dont like ter think of corruption in the corridors of power at the Beeb ......but I gotta say, summat stinks and my money is going to the Service Personnel Appeal ......... Never have liked big Corporations beating the lesser guys by Stealth and Closing Ranks !!! Hope The Royal British Legion single makes it to number One, even WITHOUT the assistance and backing of the Mighty BBC !!!! Okay, I just needed ter get that off me chest. ..
