So…how did I get a woman to agree to live with me for 19 years? Great chest hair. We married when she was 18. I had one thing on my mind! Filing jointly on taxes. All we could cook was chicken fingers and velveeta shells and cheese. We lived in a trailer and watched proudly as a rat had babies in our fork drawer. No A/C so we’d lay wet towels on our bodies. No door in the bathroom so imagine the horror of a young lady takin one for the first time in front of her laughing till he cried hubby. Trusting me while I sucked as a husband. Standing with me in the face of our worst times. We cried together on the couch when I lost my job. We cried together when the car broke down on the interstate. We cried together watching the Notebook. Took a long time to learn how to be great partners...but we did. 19 yrs….I love that girl.
