So how does STARR, who upon intake “was wagging his tail and allowed to be rubbed”, who is an absolutely darling during his videos with the volunteers, how does that dog end up on tomorrow’s euthanasia list? Well, read carefully—it seems that during his behavioral eval, he really didn’t like that hand taking his food. And so despite his absolutely acing all the other items, STARR got a New Hope rating. And from there he went right to tomorrow’s euthanasia list! But take a good look at those videos and you’ll see a young, very handsome, full of life dog who was ever so gentles getting his treats. Tonight, STARR needs that one person out there who is ready for an absolutely wonderful dog. Imagine going on long walks or jogs with STARR at your side, imagine playing in the yard or the doggie park, imagine having this sweetie flopping at your feet when you’re both tuckered out. If you can see it in your head, start working with rescues to foster or adopt STARR. But do it right now—ACC has already written STARR off and at noon tomorrow, they want to make him gone forever.
