So in the WHFB End Times (stop reading if you dont want semi spoilers) fluff it seems like the Undead (Nagash and his legions are trying to join with men to fight chaos (Im just at the start of The Fall of Altdorf), of course the Chaos threat is a great one, but the Nagash threat is even greater. At least if all humans were brought under the thumb of the chaos gods the species would survive, Nagash wants to and has always wanted to destroy everything, make everything DEAD... Perhaps it has to be a case of defeat the first foe and then turn on each other but honestly an alliance with the dead is not a good option IMO... I havent finished Fall of Altdorf yet so please try and keep the book spoilers to a minimum, this discussion should be about which enemy is the greater threat? Chaos or Undead?
