So its official. Put the finishing touches on travel plans for summer. I will teach Akela Yoga in Cambodia at Angkor Zen Gardens Retreat Center near Siem Reap and am available to teach private classes in town. Cambodia was the very first place I thought Id travel to after high school and I dreamed about it lavishly in the dormitories of UVic leafing through National Geographic photographs of rice terraces and militia — obsessively watching Baraka over and over again with bizarre intrigue for a decade — but its not until now, 12 years later that I shall graze Angkor Wat with my fanciful eyes and meditate in the splendour of its architectural genius designed to represent Mt Meru. So incredibly happy and grateful to this life and its unabating blessings. I’ll be 30 in July and told myself to rove somewhere, far, far away and really look inside and meditate… and someone gave me the idea to write a list on my birthday of thirty things I want to do (heavily imbedded with spiritual affinity naturally!) within the next year and just do them all. Crickey, yes. I fly from Vancouver May, 17th, will ramble there for a couple days beforehand, its been a lifetime and Id love to stay with/catch up with anyone that’s in the hood. You know who you are. Ah and yes, if you’re in Cambodia, Thailand or Myanmar this summer, or wanna go, let me know.
