So last Wednesday, Cassie took me to Minot to have another biopsy. The surgeon here had given me one Atavan(?) pill for anxiety to take one hour before my appt. I had anxiety over taking an anxiety pill, haha, but since Cass was with me, I took it. We got to my appointment and was taken into a room. IT WAS A BED!! I laid on the table, with my boob hanging down a hole. The Dr looked like Doogie Houser!! I appreciated all three of them having conversation, topics that I would be included, while they adjusted the table and machine in the correct position while taking many pictures to make sure all was good. A lady came and sat by my left side, held my hand, and through the whole process rubbed my back and my forehead. I was given Novocain, and every time I mentioned that I could feel something whether it be pressure or a sensation of heat, he gave me another shot. They got me to talk about each and everyone of my kids and grandkids and before I knew it, the procedure was over. I am grateful, that I used my voice and got a second option. Procedures should not have to be so traumatic and am very thankful that I was given such tender care in Minot. I have been very, very sore as the location of the lump is more so next to the rib cage than the breast. The needle went through the muscle that is connected to the chest and can feel it when ever I move my arm. They put a large plastic bandage over the steri strips, that would bind my breast to my chest. Like a dummy, I pulled the bandage off, as it was itching me like crazy. Now, I know that I should have left it on, as when I walk, move in my sleep, or any other movements, the muscle pulls into my boob and really hurts....I see the surgeon tomorrow afternoon to find out my results. And I might add that when I told Cassie I had an appointment, she just stated that she will take the day off from work to take me. I didnt have to ask, she just volunteered....love, love having family who love, love me....
