So, last night, I discovered one of the downsides to this whole anti technology phase Im going through. I have a pickup truck that was made before the tracking devices were put in them. I havent had a phone in a few months. Its been pretty nice. ...but...it takes a while to get to know your vehicle. In my escalade, I knew that when my low fuel light kicked on, I had a solid 40 miles until it ran out of fuel. Turns out that on this truck, that means Im out of fuel... So, I was halfway between momence and Kankakee. No phone. No fuel. 2:30am. It was raining, cold, windy, and I was wearing swimming trunks and sandals. So, I figured Id put my blinkers on and flicker my headlights every time I saw a pack of cars coming. It shouldnt take that long, right? Every time I drive home, I see the county cops everywhere... Not last night! Chris found me somewhere between 8:30-9 and we got fuel. Thanks, man. It got pretty cold after a while. So, yeah. If youve tried texting me in the last few months, you probably thought I was being a doo doo sandwich and not replying. Nope. I didnt get it.
