So last night, Im sitting around, feeling sad, a bit lost..etc...My son is jumping around like toddlers do, and my cell phone rings, and its my elementary school friend Emily Vander Kooi-Meiste calling to tell me shes sorry about my grandma. Just that small act of kindness filled my heart with a huge amount of happiness. We dont talk much, but have been friends for like 32yrs (shhhh...holy cow lol) We are friends on fb, but its those kind people that make life a bit easier and make it all worth it. Thank you soooo much Emily, for being you, and such a kind person, AND for taking the time out to think of me and call me :) Your parents sure did a great job raising you to have compassion and empathy. I appreciate that phone call more than you know ❤️Thank you.
