So, last week I got an email from McMaster University stating that I had an outstanding balance on my account. I found this odd since, when I was going to go back to school last year but then withdrew a week later due to health complications, I was told from the people at the Student Accounts and Cashiers office that going into SOLAR and withdrawing from all classes would withdraw me from the school and all charges on my account would be reversed to zero. On top of that, they charged me $35 twice for not paying my tuition and then had the nerve to tack on $295.63 in interest to these fees! I cannot believe that a school with such a stellar reputation would have a computer system so archaic that, not only did it not withdraw my attendance properly, IT DECIDED TO CHARGE ME INTEREST FOR IT! Needless to say, there will be a very angry phone call on Monday that I wish I didnt have to make, but this is so ridiculous that I cant help but be insulted and outraged by this stupidity. #mcmaster #hamont #stupid #fees #ripoff #youvegottobekiddingme
