So let me get this right. Argentina more or less put a banner up before a game yesterday stating they want the Falklands back, which is a British territory and 99.8% of the Islands inhabitants voted that they dont want to be part of Argentina. But when we asked FIFA to wear poppies on our shirt to commemorate the fallen for Remembrance day when we played Spain in 2011, they coldly denied us. So its okay for Argentina to more or less provoke a War before a game, but we couldnt commemorate a tradition that has been in our society since the Great War? Argentina needs to get its head in the History books. A Country that wants War with us after getting destroyed the first time round should beware of provoking a War the second time round. Especially a Battle ready force like the British Army. There should never be politics in football. Regardless how entitled you feel to some land, where the population doesnt want to be part of you. Let your feet be doing the talking please
