So, let me get this straight... The Attorney General will not - TopicsExpress

So, let me get this straight... The Attorney General will not seek the death penalty for four (black) gang members who who carjacked, kidnapped and killed a police officer, reportedly because: Its always harder to get a death penalty conviction because a lot of people dont like the death penalty, legal analyst Todd Stone told CBS affiliate WTVR. There are statistics that show that it is more expensive and it draws out the appeal process so much longer. First of all, there is a trial phase and a penalty phase. I wonder if the AG believes it will be difficult to convict gang members with criminal records of the actual murder? Second, in what universe, at least in this country, are people averse to the death penalty for folks who kill cops? Third, why is the administration concerned about the cost of a slam dunk case, within its jurisdiction, but not concerned about the cost investigating a state case (Ferguson), outside of its jurisdiction, in which no charges are even filed ? If you really do not understand how much this administration is intent on sowing seeds of dissension, and undermining the will and sensibilities...well...you must be a progressive.
