So like I said in utter excitement yesterday, I am now a part of The Prowl at University of South Alabama. I will have an 1-2 hour segment discussing the local social events in the city of Mobile. I’ll be informing you about and interviewing local artist, local business owners, community activist promoting positivity in the city, and what you the students want to hear. What is it that you wanna talk about or what you want me to share my unbiased opinion about? I have no problem sharing trust me but let me get to the purpose of this status. I really despise it when people tell me that there is nothing to do in this city and hey, I was one of those people. I’m not originally a Mobilian. I’m from Hattiesburg, MS but I’ve been in Mobile for 13 years now so it’s safe to say that I’m basically a Mobilian. It wasn’t until I returned from Afghanistan during R&R and spent 2 weeks just enjoying everything in the city. It was during Mardi Gras and I had a ball. The food, the music, the culture was amazing. I know that we promote the basic big things in Mobile like Mardi Gras and big events in the city but what about the small things going on in the city? Also what about the people not from the city who are new student at South Alabama and don’t know anything about Mobile. There are lots stereotypes about the city that I don’t like. I know that this platform that has been given to me can eliminate those stereotypes and this belief that there is nothing to do in Mobile. So my question is what do you want me to listen to that’s local? Where should I be going to kick it with my homie and best friend Jordan Bratina? What local business should I be eating at or shopping at? You guys gotta let me know. So get this status out there!!! Click that share button as many times as possible.
