So many folks had SUCH an amazing time last night at Honkytonk - TopicsExpress

So many folks had SUCH an amazing time last night at Honkytonk Hacienda! In fact, several folks I talked to were just speechless! Eyes wide, mouths agape, they just shook their heads in awe and excitement, so ... ! and theyd trail off. Folks had come from Australia and from Nashville, from OC and from up the hill. They listened as Ruby Force started off with some groovy tunes -- extra grooviness provided by super guitar licks. Then they shimmied and cheered as J.P. Harris & The Tough Choices gave a blue-ribbon country nation someone to vote for -- and laughed as JP told the blue tick joke that broke his grandmas rib. Then there came the intensity of song from Joe Fletcher & the Wrong Reasons ... with JPs kickass band The Tough Choices sitting in. The crowd stood up, came closer and enthusiastically sang along, and chanted along, and danced along all the rest of the night. Everyone had huge smiles the whole night long. There truly is something magic going on -- this kind of fantastic energy and incredible performances have been going on each week! Last week, Trevor McSpadden with Dave Gleason and band lit up the room. The full house cheered -- many from Chicago -- with full-on, mid-west-on-the-west-coast enthusiasm. Then Dave Gleason Music Trio gave one of the most exhilarating shows Ive seen them do -- they were simply ON FIRE! The week before that, Patrolled By Radar delivered new songs and old favorites with the energy of a huge successful tour just completed. Then The Freight Shakers blew everyone away ... just as they did the last time they played. Thank you, everyone who has ventured into this tucked away, hidden gem of a honky tonk! Your energy and enthusiasm has been so remarkable, Im the one speechless. Photos and words dont come nearly close enough to capturing the feeling I get from so many people -- of how happy they are to have found themselves here.
