So many of you local surfers might have already heard about the surfer (Cameron Schwartzkopf, middle) who was rescued recently at Oxnard Shores...we heard the story over the weekend from Tom, himself - the details of the rescue were truly humbling. Walt Thompson, Tom Dillon and an unidentified man with binoculars spotted Cameron from the beach, and Tom and Chris Campana (left) were the ones who jumped into the water, swam out and pulled Cameron to shore...Please, if you see Tom, Chris, Walt or the mystery man with the binoculars out in the water, please give them the mad props that they deserve. Unfortunately, the local newspapers forgot to mention the true heroes.
