So many times we go to God in prayer with our walls up. We approach Him in prayer as if Hes some judgmental human being. We automatically expect rejection..consequently we never lay our true hearts before Him. I want to encourage you..be real with God because He already knows the real you and STILL COMPLETELY LOVES YOU. Stop approaching the throne of grace..scared, timid, embarrassed, fake, perfectly emotionally groomed, or ritualistically. God is interested in true transparency of our hearts. He wants true intimacy with each and every one of us. And that true intimacy requires us to be vulnerable with Him and to trust that He can handle our vulnerability. So I want to encourage you to pray to God in REVERENCE but also in complete REALNESS. Confess to God everything thats on your heart. Even if you think its the most evil, disgusting, embarrassing, unforgivable thing ever. God can handle it. He knew you thought it or did it even before you confessed it. Always remember, there is so much beauty in transparent confession. It sets you free and develops true intimacy between you and the Heavenly Father. God loves you so much. Go to Him freely and confidently knowing He can handle every part of you completely! #BeEncouraged (Hebrews 4:14-16, 1 John 1:8-10)
