So much back and forth concerning Robin Williams and my question is........ why? He WAS a great actor, an absolute genius! He was sick. A complete train wreck. He was a patriot who loved and respected our troops. He was blind to not see the family who loved him. He was funny and brought a smile, a chuckle or even a full belly laugh to those he entertained. He was an addict not due to choice but by years of bad decisions. He appeared compassionate for others and seemed to love others more than himself. What he truly was, was a little bit of each and every one of us who has smiled through pain, chose to put on a smile in public and cry behind closed doors. He was the factory worker attending an AA meeting and the father who thought he had let down his children. He was simply a mortal man with the same problems as many of us. He wasnt a God who we should worship nor was he the devil deserving of our criticism. If his performances made you smile continue to enjoy them. If they didnt, then find something that does because one thing that we can all agree on is, life is too short not to be happy and theres not another soul who can make you happy if you choose to be miserable.
