So much talk about police injustice in todays media. Its sad that a few decisions by individual officers, placed in compromising positions, have gained such media attention. Especially when the facts of many of those particular cases are still up for debate. Screw the facts! Lets burn the world, right? Lets revolt under the same laws that protect us daily! Right? WRONG!!! To clarify, I will never justify an unarmed person being killed when the situation couldve been handled with a non-lethal option. Regardless of that persons criminal record. With todays technology we should have a variety of non-lethal options to subdue people suspected of crimes. Note: Im not talking rubber bullets, and gas. We should have more humane ways in 2014. That being said, we do ourselves a much greater injustice by not trusting our nations law enforcement officers. For every 1 officer who may, or may not, have made a questionable choice, there are thousands more who did not. They are responsible for protecting us day in, and day out. There are crimes, and criminals that affect us every day in the USA. These heroes in Law Enforcement protect us, and keep us from that risk daily; with absolutely no media attention. We hardly even know when these items happen, because they protect us without fanfare. These are our real superheroes! Damn the media for criminalizing our police! Damn the masses for believing the hype! You are safe tonight comfortably in your homes because of these heroes. Try living in another country across the globe this evening as safely without them. Watch the news, youll know what Im taking about. My heroes have No Color, other than the blue uniform they wear. They walk into danger willfully each day to keep us safe. We should praise them, and not doubt them. We should celebrate them every day. Hold them accountable? Yes! As accountable as they hold us to the same laws. God bless our law enforcement. Thank you for keeping us safe in a crazy, crazy world. For those of you blasting them like cowards on social media... shame on you. One day you will need them, and they will still be there for you regardless.
