So my adventures have either come to a halt, or have gotten bigger.. Depends how you look at it. On the way back from the keys, as most of yall know, my car broke down. After a long day if troubleshooting and trying to come up with the best plan, it and i were towed back to my dads house in delray beach Florida. Yesterday the mechanic took a look at it and the timing belt is broken. It jumped time, and most like bent the valves inside the engine. Approximate estimate to replace the engine.. $1200 minimum for the engine and $1200 ish in labor. This is definitely a major setback.. And one of those what if moments that has prevented me from hitting the road in the past. Since I had just paid all the bills the morning of the 3rd.. And taken a week off of working to visit the keys.. The bank account is a little low. Bare in mind, my crazy self started this journey with the $1100 or so that I got from selling everything I had.. There was no major financial lottery win that enabled me to do this.. Just the trust and faith in myself and my higher power that I can do this.. No matter what.. And now that what looks like a broken down vehicle. So far I have listed my iPhone 5c, my laptop, and reluctantly, my camera on craigslist to quickly add enough money to my budget to find something used less than $2400 or come up with the $2400 to fix the yellow aveo. The faster I get wheels the faster I can get back to postmates.. Stack the bank and hopefully purchase a new camera and laptop and have a car again. Gotta do whatcha gotta do sometimes. While looking thru my therapy materials (as Im attempting to maintain my emotions this week... And totally feel the sadness depression and anger creeping into my step) I found my packed reading list.. Hmmmm... Do you think I was having codependency issues the day I packed or what??!?!! Lmao
