So my resolution to this was just to remove the whole post from my site … and to ask this person never to work with me again … ever. Is this as bad/spammy as I think it is? Recently we received a notice from Google that our website has received a penalty after Google detected unnatural links pointing to our site: opencolleges.edu.au. Google has advised that I need to remove a large number of links to regain my positions in search engines. In our analysis, we have noticed that your website has been found to be unnatural. The links I need removed can be found at this URL: [A link on my site that she guest posted.] Failure to remove the link will require me to add a Disavow Link report with Google. My concern is that if I submit your site in my report, Google will flag your site as spam. The last thing I want is another website owner to go through this grief we are currently facing. Your prompt attention to this matter along with an email confirmation saying the link has been removed would be highly appreciated. Sorry for the hassle and thank you in advance.
