So normally I dont give internet commandos the time of day. The guys who think they are the gods of information because they wield the ability to copy and paste half witted articles from their favorite smear site. But, today, I would love to (with information) punch those guys in the face. So the picture I used for my last post, Im fully aware of its controversy. Im aware that everyone seems to have talked to the family and they have all the info. I know that it was not a wild hog, and that it was farm raised to be huge. And that the dad said they modified its weight purposefully. They made a huge pig. Got it. Agreed. It happened. But I want to address the fact that 3 people said a hog that big (by weight, specifically over 1,000 pounds) isnt possible. Prepare to eat crow. Any hundreds of others like it. Heres the deal guys, I want to make this public. I want you to know that we do our best to present truth. We have no desire to mislead, or misrepresent, or anything like that. We are honest guys who do our best at this hobby. (Thats what TTI is to us) At times we have posted stories that turned out to be untrue, and we recognized it and fixed it. We are human beings. You should be thankful you dont have a band of internet commandos scrutinizing every statement you make. All that being said, when we put up a picture to be funny, or to prove a point, and its not 1,000,000,000% accurate, know this - It matters so little to me. If its trying to prove a point and the point is made, LET - IT - GO. Because we let it go the moment we see it. In this instance, the point is that people kill giant pigs with handguns all the time. They work. I used a picture of a giant pig to illustrate that point. That particular picture has come under scrutiny but I dont care. My research on that particular picture showed me that whether that pig is wild or farm grown, a pistol cartridge killed it. If you believe that picture is even real, ok. Enjoy your reality. I dont care. Just use your stubby info finders and search the web for giant pigs shot by pistols. Moving forward, just understand that we at TTI are interested in truth, but if/when we miss it, (and we will), were not losing sleep over it. We dont jump up and get our underpants in a wad and start trying to back peddle. We say whoops and move on. If you would like to present some information that may show ours to be wrong, fine. Were not threatened by that. Were humans. But if youre purposing to be a divisive douche bag, well ban you. To those who are with us, thank you. Were honored and thrilled you are here.
