So now the LORD God of Israel hath dispossessed the Amorites from his people Israel, and shouldest thou possess it? And now ART thou any better than Balak the son of Zipor, king of Moab? did he ever strive against Israel, or did he ever fight against them. And the whole congregation sent SOME to speak to the children of Benjamin that WERE in the rock Rimmon, and to call peaceably unto them. And it was told the house of David, saying, Syria is confederate with Ephraim. And his heart was moved, and the heart of his people, as the trees of the wood are moved with the wind. Then said the LORD unto Isiah, Go forth now to meet Ahaz, thou, and Shear-jashub thy son, at the end of the conduit of the upper pool, in the highway of the fullers field; And say unto him, Take heed and be quiet; fear not, neither be faint hearted, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
